Dr. LoVecchio has organized dozens of national and international conferences and given more than 100 invited talks. He provides education for CME credits as well as lectures for business groups seeking safe protocols in the midst of a pandemic and returning to a new normal workplace.

Dr. LoVecchio has served as a source and on-air expert for CNN, Fox News, CNBC, NPR, The New York Times print and video editions, and USA Today. He offers balanced insight on topics including the opioid epidemic, environmental, and social issues such as health risks at the border. He has also lent his insights to multiple documentaries. In 2020- 2021, Dr. LoVecchio appeared live weekly on an ABC morning news program to address viewer questions.

Doing good is not something Dr. LoVecchio thinks about. It comes naturally to him. Growing up with modest means in an ethnic neighborhood in The Bronx, he learned to earn his success in life, and giving back was a given. His father a chef and his mother a homemaker and factory worker, LoVecchio’s first language was Italian. He speaks it fluently, as well as Medical Spanish.

Drawing on his vast knowledge of pharmacological effects, toxicology, addiction and outcomes research, Dr. LoVecchio has consulted with a multitude of institutions to develop safe and effective treatments. He has worked with with a dozen pharmaceutical companies — including large pharma and small star ups — throughout both drug development and post-market surveillance. He served as the medical director for an addiction clinic in Phoenix where they pioneered the use of marijuana to treat opioid withdrawal.
